Meet the Worship Leader for WPN and the National Gathering for Prayer and Repent

Who is the singer, Alma Rivera, who sang so powerfully at the National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance?

Alma Rivera is an international Gospel singer, evangelist, music\movie producer, and ordained minister. She is a very happy, enthusiastic, and determined person, who loves God with all her heart. Showcasing a multicultural background through her preaching and music, she now lives in New York and is married to Richard Rivera, who is also her manager.

Alma was born in Mexico City where she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of 11. She became a U.S. citizen 3 years ago.

She travels around the world sharing the Gospel of JESUS. During her “Revival Nights," thousands of people receive salvation, freedom from oppression, and supernatural healing in America, Asia, and Africa.

In 2020, Alma was getting ready to embark on a worldwide tour to over six countries, including Indonesia, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, and the Philippines. However, COVID-19 threw a curve ball. But, where many award winning gospel singers and ministries stopped, she stood up!

She went from the stage to the streets.

Alma is a part of the World Prayer Network, Well Versed's twice-weekly prayer calls. She has spoken and sang at the Well Versed Future Conference in Washington DC in July of 2022, the National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance 2023, and the National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance 2024.

She has ministered to members of Congress, United States Senators, former NY Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and was asked to pray over former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. She recently prayed for the Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.

She and her husband, Richard Rivera, hosted “The Pursuit” tent revival at Batavia, NY. Hundreds received salvation and there were multiple supernatural healings. People from other states drove or took planes to attend. The meeting was so powerful that it was extended for several days.

Alma has performed and shared the Gospel in Times Square, NY multiple times, and was recently covered by the Christian Post, a news website averaging 10 million visits per month. It describes homeless men coming to the stage and falling on their knees crying out to God.

In Indonesia, Alma sang and preached to thousands, with many receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. There were many reported miracles. She has been featured on different networks like TBN, TBN SALSA, TBN AFRICA, CBN, & CLUB 700, where she gives her powerful testimony as to how she was kidnapped in Mexico at gunpoint. While in her assailants' custody, she testified to them about the love of Christ and that they could change if they chose to - 6 hours later, she was released, unharmed.

She has led people to the mountaintop of praise in many churches such as Lakewood Church (Houston, TX), The River Church (Tampa, FL), Christian Cultural Center (Brooklyn, NY), Cross Church (Rogers, AR), Angelus Temple (Los Angeles, CA), and Hezekiah Walker's Love Fellowship Tabernacle (Brooklyn, NY).

Alma and Richard are currently producing a movie that will be shown in at least one thousand theaters nationwide.

Alma is also currently working on a cartoon series for kids.
