I too have a “Joy Behar story.” It was to be my second time on Larry King Live. Allow me to explain.

LARRY KING LIVE SHOW - TWICE
I wrote about my first time on the Larry King Live show in 2008, after his passing in January 2021, on Facebook (click here to read) and in a newsletter (click here to read).
On this second time to be on Larry King Live, November 2008, Joy Behar, to my disappointment, was the guest host. In addition, I was “remote,” that is, not in the studio. That is a distinct disadvantage. You cannot see any facial reactions. You are not seeing it on screen at all. You only hear the conversation, in a tiny earpiece. When you are remote, you generally don’t get called on as much as the in-studio guests. You have to try to jump in to the conversation as much as you can.
In-studio was my very good and godly friend, (the late) Bishop Harry Jackson (I miss him immensely.) Also in-studio was the vile and often foul-mouthed Dan Savage. Savage is the epitome of anti-Biblical concepts. I had been on other interviews with him. I will say no more except he desperately needs to come to know Jesus.
In remote studios were the then Mayor Gavin Newsom in San Francisco (tragically, now Governor of California) and me, from San Diego. I had been in-studio, sitting next to Newsom on two Dr. Phil shows.
We were discussing the recently passed Proposition 8 in California – to the shock of leftists – in November 2008 by a vote of 52.3%. Here is the first segment of that show, and here is the second segment.
