Three Events That Will Really Encourage You: One in Europe and Two in the U.S.

I want to share with you about three events, in which government leaders are truly seeking God, eager to know His Word.

The U.S.
Our primary focus is America. That is why we have tried to spiritually encourage members of Congress (more on that below), hosted 104 (one each Sunday and Wednesday nights) World Prayer Network shows in 2024, done many radio and TV interviews, spoken in numerous churches, published the book Reversed, and done a host of other things. Your faithful support made this possible.

THE WORLD
At the same time, we have also tried to impact other nations. We have made several ministry and mission trips to Latin America to meet with government leaders and will tell you more about that in the future. Trips to Paraguay and some other countries are scheduled for 2025, and the Reversed book will be released in Spanish and Portuguese in May. We have also made trips to Asia, including Armenia, South Korea, and Japan.

Our motto is “bringing biblical principles of governance to government leaders wherever they are.” That is why, in the pre-COVID days, when people worked in person at the United Nations (now many work remotely), we met in private meetings with 93 of the 193 Ambassadors (Permanent Representatives) at the United Nations in New York City.

THREE EVENTS
I want to tell you about three events, one in Europe and two upcoming events in the U.S.

FIRST – EUROPE

You made it possible for Well Versed to have our first European event through your sacrificial giving.

Previously, we have been in a few European nations (24 of them that I recall), either in meetings with government leaders and faith leaders or taking people on church history tours. I am deeply indebted to so many people who arranged for me to meet with government and faith leaders. Without the “connectors,” I would never have had the wonderful opportunity of meeting with all these leaders:

1) Albania – with members of Parliament; was there when my book Well Versed came out in Albanian.
2) Armenia – met with the President, Governors and other government leaders.
3) Austria – met with a few members of Parliament.
4) Belgium – I attended the European Prayer Breakfast several times, visited the European Union Parliament, and spoke at a seminary there. This is where we did our first European event, the Well Versed “Summit.”
5) Czech Republic – led groups touring the sites of Jan Huss, a leading figure in church history.
6) Finland – met with members of Parliament.
7) France – led a group touring the church history sites of John Calvin. Visited the Official Seat of the European Union in Strasbourg, France.
8) Germany – met with a faith leader and later members of Parliament and led several Martin Luther tours.
9) Greece – took a group on a tour of the biblical sites of the Apostle Paul.
10) Hungary – met with government leaders; spoke at a pro-family conference and a church (Pastor Sandor Nemeth), on national TV and radio, and interviewed by a national newspaper; attended demographic conferences. Book Well Versed came out in Hungarian.
11) Ireland – (we actually have not been there yet; I included it because we will go there in July 2025, as part of a Spiritual Heritage Tour. (Info here: John Wesley Spiritual Heritage Tour)
12) Italy – attended pro-family events with many members of Parliament; toured major pre-reformation (Catholic) church history sites.
13) Latvia – met with a few members of Parliament.
14) Liechtenstein – met with Prince and Princess.
15) Netherlands – met with members of Parliament and key faith leaders; visited the International Court of Justice.
16) Macedonia – met with political figures.
17) Norway – met with a member of Parliament and a faith leader.
18) Poland – Rosemary has gone to the Oskar Schindler factory, Auschwitz
and other Holocaust sites; Jim will go in May 2025.
19) Romania – spoke to a select group of members of Parliament.
20) Switzerland – led groups on a tour of Zurich sites (Ulrich Zwingli) and Geneva (John Calvin) met with members of Parliament; spoke at churches; spoke at Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy; spoke to a group in the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.
21) Turkey – hosted a group on a tour of the sites of the “Seven Churches of Revelation.”
22) Ukraine – spoke for the Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast; met with governmental and faith leaders; spoke at a conference on faith involvement in government.
23) United Kingdom –

England – have led several John Wesleyan Spiritual Heritage Tours; will lead one in July 2025. (Info here: John Wesley Spiritual Heritage Tour)
Scotland – toured sites of John Knox.

24) Vatican City (called the Holy See, which is a nation itself) – attended a pro-marriage conference in the Vatican with 300 invitees, where the Pope spoke.

What was significant on this last trip was the privilege of leading a Well Versed “Summit” on reconciliation, repentance and the relevance of Scripture, on December 3, 2024. You made this possible. You prayed and you gave.

SECOND – THE INAUGURATION.

Eight years ago, on January 19, 2017, I hosted A Special Inauguration Prayer Event, 24 hours before the Inauguration of Donald Trump 45, just a few blocks from the U.S. Capitol Building, at the 1,500 seat Greater New Hope Baptist Church. Once again, we are co-hosting the Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation on January 19th at 2 pm – that same location as 2017 – approximately 24 hours before the Inauguration of Donald Trump 47. THIRD – GATHERING FOR REPENTANCE

Year 1: Early in 2023, Tony Perkins and I co-hosted our first National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance, with many members of Congress leading in prayers of repentance, some openly weeping before a Holy and Righteous God. Watch this event here: NGPR 2023

Although we have to charge tickets for the two events (7 am prayer time;
10 am focus on Israel), those cover only approximately one-third of the costs to do this event. Your faithful giving makes this possible.
